Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) General Attacked by guards near the barracks.

I went into a camp near the barracks and three people appeared and used a mind trick and turned all of the guards against me.

Should I kill them all or just run?

What's going on!

What level are you? If you are high enough, it is good Xp, but there are a lot of them...

aye! i do know of that one.

you could attack them, bout 400 or so xp for each kill. as for adverse effects of doing that i don't really know. but if you do attack them save first.

i did attack them on me earlier character and no one said a thing bout it, but, of course i did not finish the game with this character though cuz i started a new one <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />.

kill 'em. u can't save them, unless with charm I supose.

Try over a thousand XP each. You must have been a pretty high level when you went there!

I got like 367 or so xp for guttin' 'em.

either way, you can just kill em. no negative effects on the game, whatsoever...

no, when u get ambushed in the begging. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> and u can go to the orc camp first and see them there. if u go early, u see the old hag (not iona, or josephina, the other one) and she talks to that chief orc, Ba'lzok or somethin'.

Well, if you are a mage, you should be able to take them out at level 13 with a few trips back to the bed, or a few magic potions.
The guards are -weak-. I took out the whole camp no problem at level 13.

Kill them all...they are foolish enough to attack. My philosophy is that if it moves, is hostile, and I can attack it...it's already dead. I blew throught that base like a hurricane over the water. I only used one potion and that's because I went in pretty low on health. Plus being level 25 didn't hurt either <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

wow, 25, thats early, i didn't go until level 35, didn't do a single thing except swing more sword. no spells, no traps, no potions, or sleeping.

I actually killed them all pretty easily first time around but I didn't know if it affected the story or my rep would fall.

I saved it just before so I reloaded and run out of the camp. I suppose I'll go back and kill them.

no story loss or rep drop.
