Going on a tangent here but I really hope we get a game some day with the Cypher System (Numenara, The Strange etc....). So much simpler than D^D yet as rich and immersive.
Frankly D&D is among my LEAST favorite pen & paper rulesets (at least among the few ones I'm familiar with).
I still think it RUNS CIRCLES around most of the videogame-specific rulesets available out there, with very few and very sparse exceptions (i.e. Darkalands comes to mind), which incidentally ALSO tried to mimic that "pen & paper vibe" of being more well-rounded system to simulate adventures rather that number-crunching "gamified" crap.
