Simply because this service is shit? 10$ (FOR NOW...) a month cheap? Anything ENTERTAINMENT you have to pay every month ISN'T cheap. Its a scam in the long run.
Lets add everything up shall we? Game service, MUSIC service, MOVIE services, Stadia, etc..etc...It adds up to pretty nice gaming rig after a while.
I feel ya, you're wrong however. The monthly fee is only for 4k and access to the 'pro' games. Otherwise I just payed full EA price for BG3 and can play it whenever I want without having to subscribe (apparently this is different from xbox, gamepass and gforce now and causing a lot of confusion).

Don't take stabs at Stadia personally, I don't mean to look down at anyone for whom Stadia offers a valuable service - I just genuinely hope that you will be able to access your copy of BG3 for years to come.
Well I'm def not taking it personally, it's more of a 'yeah dude joke's not funny anymore' thing at this point. Obviously I also hope to have access to my payed content or receive appropriate reimbursement, so thanks for those wishes. Let me return them, I also hope that you will have access to your BG3 copy for the years to come, godspeed to your cpu/gpu ! Only legitimate criticism of stadia at the moment in my opinion is lacking mod-support, but i'm secretly hoping Larian will find a way to do some 'curated community content' stuff as an add-on or something (pretty please).
