If you read in PHB what the great old one warlock sub class feature is, it gets pretty interesting(in phb it lets you telepathically speak to others). In BG 3 we practically have it already because of tadpoles, so it is understandable why we don't get anything as the great old one at level 1, while fiends get dark one's blessing.
The question is - how this subclass (can)will be rebalanced?
