While I am not against the inclusion of Aasimar, I don't think it's a must. Larian has made it clear they are following the Player's Handbook, and the Aasimar are not included therein. If Larian is going to add more content for which they did not initially plan, I don't think adding more playable races is the best use of their time and efforts. I would rather the preexisting races be given more depth. Having said that, Gith are not included in the player's handbook, so Larian may surprise us.
