Obscured links - could go anywhere, do bad things to our computers. Red Flag.
No message - just dropped that link like a bot, another Red Flag.
No involvement - Starting a disscussion and running is troll behaviour. Red Flag.
In communities I moderate/admin in, that's you out if you can't explain yourself and ammend your actions to be a bit more "community" and a lot less "bot".
This kind of promotion can backfire on you quickly if people don't like it (and should they?). It makes us feel exploited, used and ignored. And then we will dislike your videos.
I am discussing the topic with people here and funnily enough no one apart from 2 people on the thread ACTUALLY wants to talk about the topic. Instead they just want to run here and castigate me for violating some forum etiquette I simply was not familiar with. Are you interested in why Bane got demoted or are you just here to chastise me further?
