UPDATE: I solved it by complete deleting the "Baldur's Gate 3" folder inside %LocalAppData%\Larian Studios after a clean reinstallation without mods and stuff and worked like a charm, putting this update in case this can help someone
I have a Larian Studios Folder in "My Documents" and it won't delete! Is this the same folder?

Unfortunately, the geme still crashes after the opening cut scene (worm insertion).
Sigh. looks like I will have to do a full reinstallation. I was hoping to avoid this, as my internet is pretty slow.
UPDATE: Unistalled the game. And Reinstalled via Steam.
Same deal. Crash.
I did notice that the "Patch 8 profile I created previously was still there, albeit with no save games because of crashes before character creation. Where is this found? Could this have any impact?
I also disabled cloud saving on Steam. Also no effect. Still crashes.
