The game will crash after using Animal Friendship Scroll for Advantage on a die roll for story interaction. I have been able to repeat this consistently.

1. Interact with Owl Bear or Scratch (Dog) with dead owner nearby (either one will work as an example but so will any other dialog using Animal Friendship scroll)
2. In the dialog when you have to complete a die roll, use Animal Friendship scroll for advantage.
3. Complete the story dialog sequence (doesnt matter of the rolls are successful, bug happens either way).
4. Create a new save or attempt to overwrite an old save, the game will crash.

Note also that any time after using the Animal Friendship scroll, even an hour after using it, trying to save will crash the game.

It is one of the causes alongside using food items for long rest, selling certain stuff to the vendors... the list is long, but good to know, that animal friendship is a saving minefield too atm. I stopped my current playthrough and jus tdabble around a bit, until there is a hotfix, because the game is frankly not really playable in this state

Can you check to see if you have a directory under C:\Users\******\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3 called Temp, and under that is a folder with the save name that only has a .png in it? That's my primary symptom, when the game starts crashing on saves, it's putting them there instead of where they belong, under C:\Users\******\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\PlayerProfiles\******\Savegames\Story

I can confirm that this is occurring when the game cashes on save for me as well.
