Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks frost + stun on sword = unkilled" monsters

So I got my Nobleman's sword with frost, stun, and life drain -- WOOHOO! now half the monsters I kill are locked when I kill them--they are statues. Is there a fix for this? This is a sweet swrod, and now I'm in the Wastelands, so I'd like to be able to kill these monsters and collect the XP.

in the wastelands? well, now u can get the best sword of the game (well, the best 1-hander) no, no fix. but get the sword of the gods.

nope, they're not killable--they're dead already, but didn't give me xp or treasure, and didn't colapse in a satisfying heap. they're just scenery now.

Really? I never saw this before, maybe if you ask for Raze or Barnabus, they know the game better than i.

there was a problem if u had frost and stun on a item, and it made it so it wouldn't work, but u r at the point were u should just get the sword of the gods.

That is a known problem; monsters hanging in mid death animation. One person was able to sleep to force them to finish dying, another could wait 30 seconds, but for most people they just get stuck.

Lews is right, the easiest fix is to upgrade to the Sword of the Gods, in one of the houses east and south of the mostly-deserted village.

I don't recall if the item editor mentioned in please help with my blind hero can modify skills, but if not you could always PM DAD (Item editing teaser) about how to remove either Frost or Stun, or change one to something else.

I got the sword of the gods. It is inferior in every respect to the nobleman's sword I generated as part of the holy items quest. I should generate a screenie--my NS is truly an amazing 1-hander. frost, fire, poison and spiritual damage, stun, great bonuses, high damage, super fast, loads of charm slots.
