'Reaction turn' is not a turn actually.
You get control of your character to press reaction on hotbar instead of yes/no type pop up. Just animation nothing more. Of course enemy will freeze while player is taking reaction. And that ailment effect will be frozen too. lol
When I played Solasta there were pop ups frequently while paladin was hitting things. And I had two wizards. So screen was frozen there too. There will be multiple pop ups in BG 3 too, when we will multiclass if they go with this system.
Nowhere I am suggesting reactions are planned already in above video or description. When your party fails saving throw & before fall animation begins you will get control of your character to take appropriate reaction. While enemy is standing still.
But this is Baldur's Gate 3, go extravagant with flashing animation.
Manual turn based mode when enemy is falling & player gets to run freely is such an example.
It is just a suggestion nothing more. Only developers will know how difficult it is to implement.
