Yeah those plate pauldrons are horrid.
Sorry, I know I'm a bit salty today, and definitely still annoyed that the Bard outfit made it past quality control lol. I mean I get it, they probably can't afford to animate something that departs too markedly from the catsuit slips they've constructed for everyone. So instead they're just leaning on their artists really hard to draw-on enough detail to make stuff 'seem' different. And when they're not presented side by side, it's easy enough to gloss over the sameness of all the outfits, but then I look at some of those chainmail robes and whatnot, and it's like really? Come on. I still find the lack of wizard apparel pretty dispiriting. I also really dislike all the Full Plate options, which look lame compared to the Half-Plate, Scale and Splint. Ringmail is still the worst, though the alt versions are a bit better. The chainmail as a drawn on was alright I guess, until it turns into that full length dress thing. That getup would probably weigh half a ton in reality, whereas here it's like silk chiffon I guess. But yeah, at least tell the wizards to stop starching their robes maybe?
There are what like 50 outfits previewed in that mod? I fear that might be the whole spread for the full game. Whatever, just let me color this stuff myself in some kind of outfit editor and I'm sure I can find something that works, but I don't like how all the starting gear appears to look intentionally lame right now. I guess so that anything we find along the way later to replace it is certain to be an improvement, but I'd rather they didn't set the bar quite so low in the Char Creator.
