I love this spell. It's got some interesting uses. It helps when speaking with the dead, and it can help in relations with NPCs. It can even change your status with merchants, as in they have a good relationship with the 'version' of you that essentially bribed them, but not with any other version.

But I believe the occasional NPC still sees through the disguise sometimes. Pandirna, for instance. She's the tiefling sitting in the storage shack in the grove. The one who can't walk because of the dodgy potion.

If you're a githyanki then she comments on how odd your face is. If you're a githyanki but disguised as another race, she still comments about how odd your face is.

Anyway.

The thing that really stands out to me is that all of your companions recognize you immediately, regardless of your disguise.

If you change your appearance, for example, before waking Shadowheart up on the beach, she's not the least bit fooled.

I guess we can chalk that up to the tadpole connection if we have to. But it would be nice if some side comment happened about we look different.

I don't know. Maybe that level of attention is asking for too much. Just a thought.

And, obviously, it's not just your companions. Kagha still recognizes you as someone who fought at the gate even if you now look like a drow. And the same with Zevlor. So on.
