Do you have problems with system performance if you try to run the game in DirectX in general? I have appalling performance if I try to run the game with DirectX (less than 5FPS) but it's fine with the same settings in Vulkan and I can't work out why, and haven't yet come across anyone who has confirmed the same problem.

(EDIT: And I should have said, I'm glad to hear you found a workaround and can start your adventure!)
