Surprisingly, I got one of Lae'zel's camp dialogues when I accidentally clicked her in the wilderness near Scratch... I don't know if that was a bug or if they are implementing companion dialogue/scenes outside of camp.
There is one of Lae'zel's dialogues - one about the Tears - that she will give outside the camp, and then she'll say again next time I long rest so I assume that's a bug. I think I noticed this in a previous patch too. Not sure if this was the same one you came across?
Yes, I think that's the one. I thought it was a bug because she said, look up at the sky, my creche is there among the Tears... but it's bright daylight. I can't see any stars, let alone other celestial bodies, Lae'zel!
But if we could trigger camp-only scenes outside of camp, it would be easier to squeeze in more companion interactions and fewer would be missable just because you don't long-rest a set amount of times after a certain number of quests/events.
