Hi All,

This may be the wrong forum, if it is I apologize. Since patch 8 came out I have been trying all the suggestions to get my saved games to work, I even removed and replaced them I can't get patch 8 to run with my save games, it sees them but will not load them, the game also will not just continue.

As soon as I move back to EA patch 7 everything works fine. I am playing the game in Steam and storing my files to the steam cloud if that makes any difference.

There's no bug there.

Patch 7 savegames are not compatible with Patch 8 Saves.
Every single major update changes the game on some significant aspect, so there's no cross-patch save compatibility and there won't be until release.

Thanks Tuco for the information. So, stay with Patch 7 or start over, right?

Depends how you feel about playing bards and gnomes! I think they’re worth it, but if you’re happy with your patch 7 character then I don’t think it’s worth starting a new game in patch 8 with them rather than finishing your current run.

Thanks for the info, can I get to moonrise towers in patch 7? I assume "LOL" I can't get to Balders gate till the game is finished, correct?

You can't get to Moonrise Tower regardless of the patch. It doesn't exist inside the game client yet.
On the upper side, wherever can be reached in Patch 8 is also available in Patch 7.
