and it would feel much more natural, if i would not switch to Lae'zel or Shadowheart after searching every crate, or corpse in order to loot it. :-/ Just so you know, you can use context menu (RMB by default) to send item to different party member then the one you are controlling.

You mean this? Yes, im aware that i can right click every-single-item ... and then one-by-one give them to those characters ... thats what i do. But its slow and gets boring really fast. :-/
I still dont understand why cant we change Race for our hirelings. Lets us play Githyanki as racist as they trully are!

Exactly Ragnarok's point. You CAN constantly shift items to another companion or switch control to another companion so they are the ones opening containers and jazz... OR... What Ragnarok is suggesting, and I totally 100% want this now: Your MC picks will be encumbered if they pick up anything over 5 pounds. You pick up ring mail armor weighing 40 pounds. Instead of being encumbered, the game automatically transfers for you the suit of ring mail armor to Lae'zel, the next person in your party. You didn't have to click a thing, and your MC doesn't become encumbered at all. Quality of Life. The game does FOR you what you COULD and almost certainly WILL do yourself manually. One minor tweak would have to be that it only does this IF a companion is within a certain range of you and if playing Multiplayer, it wouldn't automatically shift an item to another player's MC. It would only work shifting to NPCs.

Food/cooking, like going to the johns, like taking a shower/bath, like iching your ass and smelling it etc...should all be an abstract part of the game. It shouldn't take over the gameplay. The only exception would be going to an Inn! SHOW US our characters eat, when pausing (no actions for 30 seconds, have them auto take out some random food from their pack and eat...) or taking a break for couple minutes, or when camping. Dont make it a gameplay element. FOOD should NOT take inventory space; just like needing to take a dump or PEE should not make you lighter/heavier (encumbrance).
My view of this anyways. BG2 had it right---> Adventurers can survive plenty fine in the wild. You camp, its assumed you eat. In town you eat at an Inn, you just pick what. The end. This isn't a survival game and its way more immersive NOT to have food EVERYWHERE and have you cook 24/7.wtf. Whats next, medical survival shit like Robinson's requiem?? Instead of a bazilion food types and cooking, how about adding more unique magical items with fleshed out histories and descriptions? Like again, BG2? Thats what I want in my fantasy rpg game, not a cooking simulator.

Yes, sorry Rag. Was writing from the airport after a long day - my reading comprehension suffered greatly OR... What Ragnarok is suggesting, and I totally 100% want this now:

It would only work shifting to NPCs. Ideally, I would vote for single, combined party inventory (like in Pathfinder), but I think this is a great middle ground. Inventory sharing could be limited to characters under that player’s control, so other players characters wouldnt get encountered without their imput. Great idea Rag, I hope that Larian overlords will hear you.

Eh, while dividing objects "by type" among characters is something I already tend to do, I absolutely don't think it would work as an automated system. There would be so many edge cases (like the moment you WANT to pass a different type of item to another character) where it would turn out into an additional annoyance (i.e. Pass the item, it get automatically ported back to the other character, disable the toggle that automate the process, pass the item again, re-enable the toggle, etc, etc). And what about the point where Lae'Zel gets close to her carry limits, you start moving other heavy objects in the bag of your second choice (MC or Shadowheart) and items keep snapping back in the Lae'Zel bag until ONCE AGAIN you disable the system. It's a mess that adds more complexity and juggling than it solves.
As this point there's absolutely no way where an unified inventory like on POE II or Pathfinder isn't vastly more comfortable to use. And like in these two games you could still have individual levels of encumbrance (what weapons, armors, accessories and "belt items" each character is carrying) and THEN have the unified inventory do some "proportional average" of the rest.

Thats why i said "when i autoloot" ... no automatic shuffle included ... You autoloot (aka click "collect all" button or w/e its named, you know what i mean right?) and items are send to their receivers each. Nothing more! Exactly for reasons you described.
