Have Larian said anything about you been able to export characters the way you could in BG 1&2 to pick in character creation?

I don't know anything new about it, except that it has been suggested several times in the past, so thank you for reminding me. I would absolutely welcome something like that!

I've been requesting this option since EA DOS2
Being able to make a character and store it for later use (both single and multi player).
And being able to use your character (after cc) in another's compaign.

Definitely would love it, too. At the very least, it's good for using a Tav you're already attached to for multiplayer. Nobody has to wait 20 minutes until everyone has finished their set up anymore :')

Big plus on this. Would allow you to bring a character through multiple standalone campaigns.
