Any outcome besides siding with the gnomes and killing Nere seems really noticeably barebones. There's a 'hidden' dialogue option that might potentially pay off, but it's oddly written and honestly kinda nonsensical.
If Minthara is dead you can bring it up to him after dealing with the gnomes and duergar iirc. Suddenly he'll doubt his faith and you can convince him to go warn the drow about the Cult of the Absolute. It's weird because he never mentions losing his powers or his faith wavering unless you specifically mention that you killed Minthara, which itself is a rather odd thing to bring up in conversation with your enemies esp if you plan on not blowing your cover, but also because there's no indication that Minthara is in any way 'important' in that her living or dying is linked to Nere or anyone else's powers, and he'll only act that way if you mention her death, that is, her actual death doesn't induce this change at all-he'll happily use his powers to murder gnomes and duergar minutes earlier, but mention that Minthara is dead, and suddenly he can't hear the absolute's voice
So it's hidden behind a dialogue most people would never pick, and results in a rather oddly written scene.
