Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems No Right-click Menu on world items

Probably a "me" issue since I don't see anyone reporting it, but wasn't there a right-click menu for things you could click on in the world?
For instance:
1) I can light or extinguish a candle, but cannot pick it up. If I right-click the candle...nothing happens.
2) To unlock something I can't right-click and choose unlock, I have to open my inventory, right-click on thieves tools (right-click does work on inventory items), then click on the locked object.

Definitely sounds like something went broke with your game.

Try to validate your files if you haven't. And also remove any mods if you're using them.

No mods...but "158 files failed to validate..." so maybe Lol.

In case someone else has this issue and searches, the solution was:
Uninstall/Delete all profile-related files\Reinstall

Validating did not work.
Uninstall/reinstall did not work.


FYI I had 3 sets of profile files as during development Larian seems to have changed the location more than once.
One was in the documents folder under larian
The other two were in %appdata%\local
One was under LarianStudios (no space) the other Larian Studios (with space). The latter is the most recent.
I deleted all of them.
