So I finally made something I wanted to try long ago, a merregon masks party build. It ended up being a ton of fun, especially having 22 STR on a tiger heart Barb - I could jump 15.5m (45m with Laezel's jump omfg) each turn and attack with +10 on attack rolls AND advantage each turn, it is just crazy...

If anyone wanted to try it out but had doubts - go for it, you won't regret it smile

There are probably a couple of ways to approach this type of build.
Yet still, here are some screenshots and tips to help with attributes, items and feats:

General tips:
- Human is good, because you can start with 13 in INT/WIS/CHA easier. Remember, those three will get -3 malus from the masks.
- You need to star with 16 STR. Get +2 on lvl 4. Get +1 from Ethel's hair. Get +3 from merregon masks. Profit.
- Fighter, Ranger or Barb are all good for the build.
- If you went 13 in I/W/C, you'll have little left to have both good DEX and CON. You'll need to prioritize. Go CON and heavy armor as a fighter/ranger. Go 14 DEX as a barb, they have a ton of HP anyway.
Inventory/Items
This is what I currently have.
I still have a run to finish, but the core is in place. With flail you can reach +10 on attacks - the highest number in the game, excluding buffs. [Linked Image from i.imgur.com]

Hope someone can improve on it if they go for a run. Have fun!

question 1 = why are you taking the bow... what spell needs to be reset on a crit roll?
if Astarion has spells it would be better on him... why is he armed with daggers instead of shortswords?

question 2 = are you sure the club is worth it?... yes its nice but Shadowheart could use that with her shield leaving you to carry one of the two handed weapons- Sorrow is easy to get early if you don't mind taking things without permission & has extra reach, a spell and lacerate

Luke Skywalker: I don't, I don't believe it.
Yoda: That is why you failed.

It is not a spellthief, just a generic Longbow +1 so that I could have a hamstring ability if I can't get in range for an attack after raging. Astarion has two daggers because I haven't found any shortswords +1 for him and having +1 on attack rolls seems better for rogues because their main damage source is sneak attack. The one shortsword +1 I have is used by my MC with a torch if the area is obscured.

Club is not optimal.
It is here for the sake of achievement, because it is the only weapon with +2 enhancement on attack rolls and it allows you to reach +10 in total. None other weapon can do that smile
It is actually the same playthrough I've mentioned in this thread, where you can see the final setup I went with.

1D6+8 is better than 1D10+7?
i'd love to see how you go against the forge golem where melee isn't really an option but i guess you could sub in Will and have 2 range while you and Shadowheart try to tank it?

It is 1d6+8 and a shield (I don't have it equiped in the screenshot). Glaive is not versatile and can't be paired with one. And yes, here I'd prefer a higher chance to hit to higher damage, because I use tiger's bloodlust which hits up to 3 enemies and applies bleeding. Any special attack such as battlemaster maneuver or a sneak attack benefits from accuracy more than from damage.

BTW, melee is actually the best against the golem, it is vulnerable to bludgeoning damage, any club or staff beats the sh*t out of it. I cracked him open like an egg in 2 turns.
