Maybe an interesting TPK? Or a time when an NPC did something unexpected and clever?

I remember a time when one of the Nautiloid imps in the first fight targeted an exploding tank beside me and wiped me out immediately. I thought it was great.

But I think my all time favorite loss was on the boat sailing for Grymforge when I got in a fight with the duergar. Shadowheart ended up mind controlled. For her action, she pulled out a void bulb and threw it. We all got sucked straight into the river. Game over. I thought that was brilliant, lol.

Yes unfortunately, and in the same scene as you

One of those "mind breaker" Duergar on the ship got control of my main character, who previously went through Omeluum's potion experiment and gained that Repulsor Illithid AOE pushback power.

The party was close to the edge because my plan was to simply kill them with crossbows from afar, as I assumed they'd try to shove me if I jump onto theirs. But my character lost control and popped the power. They all flew off into the water and my main character got massacred shortly after.

Ever since then I extremely go tunnel-vision mode on those mind breaking bastards during the fight ^^

When Illithid eated my brain on the beach ...
I didnt believe that Larian would have balls to have us killed straight in the dialogue ... but they did ... and i loved it!

I got shoved off the Nautiloid and fell to my demise ... I was actually stunned that I died lol

I wish I could play one, lol. They're awesome. Definitely "first target" material.


That was a great scene the first time I encountered it. One hundred percent agree.


lol, must've been the cultist around the canons on the upper part of the deck? This is a great way to lose.

I love that this game is so much more than "I hit you, you hit me, rinse, wash, repeat." The environment is such a big part of the game. Fighting on a flying illithid ship, risking falling off. It's wonderful.

That frog...

Getting got was genuinely funny.

I find myself wondering about that frog.

And about the reinforced sword and helmet in the swamp. Those items belonged to someone. Whom, I wonder?

Is it possible the frog was once a person, now polymorphed?

Sadly if you kill the Hag, frog stays frog. So if there is any way to break this curse, this isnt it.
