I found Dungeon Siege to have beautiful graphix and an ingenious leveling up system... and not much else. the npcs you meet have absolutely nothing to add to anything and the party member are even worse, being absolutely devoid of any kind of personallity outside of the little spiel they give when you first hire them. combat is rather boring, where you basically just tell your characters to attack and then just hit the "Drink Potion" hotkey until you emerge victorious. I took one look at multiplayer, realized it was the land of hacked characters, and left it and never looked back.

That's not to say that Dungeon Siege doesn't have any merits. I really like the fact that you only use the part of the potion you need, saving what you didn't use for later. The leveling system is rather nice, if a bit limited. The lack of load time is a neat trick and helps reduce the amount of time spent traveling by alot. And the packmules are a big help in clearing out dungeons. (I would have given them up for a way to quickly warp back to town, however...)

All in all, I would say that Dungeon Siege is an okay game, but nowhere near as good as <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" />.
