I do agree with the armor progression of 5e. Some armor is literally only good if you have nothing else to choose from.

Remember him saying "night usualy means filled taverns" or "seducing young Noble at ball" ...

It seems like his predatory type would be either Scene King or Syren ... rather than Alleycat.

Wich would solve our curent problem with Nobles wearing padded armor instead regular clothing ... how exactly?

When you connect with Astarion, it mentions that you see through his eyes, prowling dark streets at night.

As for him robbing a noble of their padded armor, I just meant that while he was on the ship, he may have stumbled upon a noble who was wearing the armor he starts with. In order to take on the role of a noble, and because he had no better armor, he COULD have killed the noble and stolen the armor. I was just coming up with some way that they could explain why he has that armor.
