When I get depressed about the state of the game's progress, checking out AlanaSP's mods makes me feel a bit better.
Seeing Aradin all jacked up to the ceiling or some rando NPC hulked out and juiced beyond belief, you think 'Well, maybe this will all work out after all!' Heheh
I just hope they don't throw up a bunch of unecessary roadblocks and make it harder than it needs to be. I mean I know it's probably going to take a year or two after the game drops to catch up (mainly because I'm timid and fearful of busting something like a dumbass then having to reinstall everything) but hopefully they don't gate it to the point where people feel like they need a degree in computer science just to get some mods up in the mix.
I feel like mods are often the unsung heroes. Not getting paid for this stuff and yet still returning glorious work on the quickstyle, just for the love of it.
When the EA started I was really hoping there would be a bit more of a place built out, like where the home boards might play well with nexus, or integrated with the BG3 launcher (since that's the only reason I can see to have one lol) or really foster that community so that players and especially new players aren't intimidated by it. But then we're still poking around on these ancient boards here, so I don't know, I might have been pipe dreaming on that one lol. I still think they could revamp their spot here or migrate, just so BG3 has some legit boards or a home site that feels like it was built specifically for BG3. They could do a lot with that I think, you know even down to the themed avatars and whatnot to make it really feel like home.
Anyhow, yeah, just wanted to say thanks again right quick!
Alana's hair salon was my favorite/first mod to check out in BG3 heheh
