Game is in development. Changes are expected.

To beat a dead horse (if you have seen many of my other posts), everything you mentioned is something that you can choose not to do. So by "fixing" them, you "break" them for others that enjoy them as they are.

*I* hope some things like wizards being able to learn any spell and being able to throw a potion are put in a rules/difficulty settings section so the players can choose how they want to play rather than limit them to one way of playing.

We are still expecting major changes like reactions... and once the feature set goes hard, there will likely be playability/difficulty/rules changes as part of the final polish so I would not expect anything final on "the rules" anytime soon.
