Frustration is completely normal. My updated Steam rating is also negative, as the disadvantages simply outweigh the advantages. Conclusion: In summary, a trial purchased for 60 € for a long-lived (no end in sight) EA that has a lot of potential, but is only nice to look at because most of the potential has been invested in the graphics so far.... It's cheaper to follow the development progress of BG 3 through streamers.

But you also have to be fair and realistic to a certain extent. The full game (with regards to future subclasses etc) won't really run smoothly for another 2-3 years. Surely there will be many bugs discovered at launch that will need to be fixed over the course of the year, etc. The game will probably only be available for PC as the main platform for now. More subclasses will come with addons or the like (so you can't play with your favorite classes from the start). Of the core elements, two basic classes are still missing, the multiclass system and the revamped reaction system.

If there was no competition between the upcoming games to "postpone / delay" and "wait for a release date", I would say play something else in the meantime. But what the heck... Promising titles have been a long time coming (....) Hogwarts Legacy was supposed to come out for Christmas and got delayed (Shoot! That was my backup plan...). Dragon Age Dreadwolf has been a long time coming.... Jagged Alliance 3 has only recently been hyped ... Diablo 4? No idea when or if I even want it, since they burned their fingers with Diablo Immortal and got hacked en masse with their crappy battle.net when Diablo 3 came out.... (So much incompetence still annoys me today. Since then I've been following Blizzard exclusively through the media).

With the current state of "game forges" I'm starting to get a slightly paranoid feeling that game developers will think we lost if we release first. xDD
