If you think about it, the companions in pathfinder probably have less content than in BG2, at least if you look at the length of both games (2 random sentences while resting is not content). Almost every companion has 3 missions throughout the game, most of them are not even 5 minutes long (even if you count the dialogues). I suspect that even in EA, BG3 has the same content for companions as in any character from pathfinder throughout the game.
