Im just curious as to what 4 characters/classes ( or hopefully more on full release ) that people will choose
Ive been doing the solo multi player thing and taking a Spell Caster ( any really ) Rogue or Ranger and a Barbarian
Trying 4 custom characters fails for some reason so i take the above and ShadowHeart
Its been fun but I do kind of miss the story lines with Laezel and Astarion to a lesser degree
*Edit ~ I know next to nothing about D&D etc I just enjoy this game and BG1 & 2 and basicly "wing it" when choosing spells/cantrips etc and try different things and go with the game mechanics available Cough Cough - Cheese it when necessary

My standard custom party is Hunter ranger, Thief rogue, Draconic sorcerer, and Evocation (or Necromancy if added) wizard. If mods add Death Domain for cleric then I will use this in place of the wizard.

The usual suspect.
Fighter, Rogue, Cleric, Wizard.

Most likely: Fighter (Champion), Ranger (Hunter) or Rogue (if BG3 includes the Swashbuckler from the SCAG) or Bard (Valor), Cleric or Paladin, Wizard (Gale/Evoker).

The fighter may be replaced by a barbarian (berserker) or a paladin depending on how I feel. All characters will be human or half elf (bard or ranger).

Whats the difference between an Evoker and Abjuration ?

Evocation is the damage school, while Abjuration is more focused on defensive spells. Also, the "specials" of each school are different, an evoker can choose not to affect friendly targets with AoE spells like Burning Hands or Fireball.
