Thing is, usually, when I have a canon in my head, I don't deviate from it on replay 😅
Probably for the same reason I don't watch behind-the-scenes, it spoils the experience in a way.
However, during the EA of this game, I had fun switching character and playing classes I didn't think I would like. I always pick elves though, usually using the same face model...so that might be why it doesn't bother me as much 😅
So, that being said :
First playthrough : Custom - SH - Astarion - Gale (so same as you, Ranxerox)
Following playthroughs :
Main character :
- Gale or Shadowheart : Most likely. They are on the same level since both are somewhat relatable to me. I think I would be able to play them and stay fairly true to their characters (the approval system somewhat confirms this).
- A similar custom character : Pretty likely. I can't help myself 🤪
- Wyll : The biggest maybe. I really don't like him 😅 So only if I find the will to pick Wyll (😛) to challenge myself. I would mostly play a more chill version of him though.
- Astarion : No. I like the character. So, I will definitely keep him as a companion. However, I wouldn't be able to play him without deviating too extremely from who is supposed to be.
- Lae'zel : No. I like the character, but it wouldn't make sense to play as her or even keep her as a character (given how I like to play).
- Karlach and Helia : No. I'm not to interested. I would most likely pick one of them as a companion if I pick an Origin character.
Companions (in order of preference) :
Astarion/Gale/Shadowheart > Karlach/Helia (based on the little we know) > Laez'el > Wyll.
So, no locked party yet. Just, some linups are more likely than others.
