But since you admited that they allready exist, it seems little irellevant.
After all, in our reality it took us humans 600 years give or take to go from the discovery of gunpowder to the invention of the musket
I dont think this is corect ...
I mean, yeah amount of years *in between* those discoveries fits ... but we dont really know how long in between nobody even thought about using some kind of pipe to direct that explosion power in certain way.
Invention is probably the wrong word though since it did evolve from earlier types of firearms.

Look im no gun fan, i barely even recognize what kind of gun im looking at.
So anything smaller than cannon would be acceptable for me.
I simply like to play other settings and some of them (yes, its Warcraft mainly ... i gues you allready know anyway) made me feel like Dwarf looks weird with any ranged weapon that isnt some kind of Blunderbuss.
Which means I both do and don't agree with you...ugh, this is giving me a headache :P
