Hi guys,
a thing i noticed, the first time you aunt Ethel outside druid grove (with the two guys wanting their sister back) i ended up fighting those two, bud not wanting to kill them I toggled non lethal strikes. However, after the fight ended the game seemed to treat them as dead. I dont really use non-lethal often so I might do some testing, but do you guys know if there is any point to trying not to murderhobo your way through?

Unfortunately, the system is not very sophisticated. I had a similar problem with the stranded fisher and the liberation of Lae'zel. At least with the stranded fisher, you can encounter them again if you saved them from the Mind Flayer, but not if you robbed them and knocked them out in the process. They counted as dead as well...

Yup ...
Game dont recognize this at all, whatever you beat is simply concidered dead no matter what ... non-lethal strikes are just there for us to feel like we "didnt actualy killed them and they simply run out of existence over night" ... but they are dead for story purposes. :-/

I would say Larian should know ... bcs this problem was allready brought up few times ...
Not sure if they will not ignore it, since it would require creating whole new bunch of reactions to every situation where you can kill someone. And they have allready lots of permutations. :-/

Anyway!
This can sometimes lead to really grim situations ... like if you knock out certain NPC, wich starts conversation where you can kill other certain NPC ... and if you dont, that other certain NPC starts to (i quote) "devour" that first NPC ... wich isnt actualy dead, just unconcious. O_o
THAT is some seriously messed up stuff Larian. laugh

Yeah, I made absolutely sure to use nonlethal damage on those guys who were harassing the old woman over a misunderstanding, and afterwards she was like "OMG YOU KILLED THEM"

like what? Why even have nonlethal damage be a combat option if it doesn't do anything?
