Hows it going everybody?

I want to hear some opinions from anyone who wishes to give them. I have never tried FALLOUT or FALLOUT 2 should I pick it up or is it too dated? I mean the game was released 1998? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/question.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/down.gif" alt="" /> or <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" /> for FALLOUT 2 Everyones' input is welcome.

It cool even now. I've obnly bought them about 6 months ago. Really cool games! Even if they are that old! Lets say old time classics. Buy them is my advice!!

Never played F1 but i'm about to finish F2 in the next few days.
Very good game ,dated yes,but far better than some of the drivel out at the momment.

I picked it up yesterday, and started it, even though it looks a little dated I emmidiatly got into it. Seems very involved and I just love the fact thats its post apocalyptic, its a nice change from the sword coast type world. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

making life easy what are the first skills to update such as hand to hand fighting vs. melee weapons vs. ranged weapons?

I always go the cheap way with hand to hand Melee and throwing is this bad?

I got both 1 & 2 for a bonus deal together for 15 dollars.

It kida sucks to have your companions appearance not change when you equip them with armor. Is there any way around this?

Is the time limit a scare tactic?

any way I can dig up a grave without ruining my trait?

I always start upgrading my small guns skills.

Nope, and to tell you the truth, I miss this in other games. In Arcanum I robbed every grave still I didn't get a reputation change <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />. Don't worry, Fallout has MANY ways to improuve rep <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />.

I just picked up Sulik, he is pretty good with that hammer, and I am using the handgun. But listen, I get killed fast when I face the mole rats and mutated rat with enlarged braincase LOL <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> Should i wait to level up a bit before going down there?

Awhile ago I ran across a situation where your charasma modifer decides how many companions may join you,is there any other way around that?

"same" in a town to the far southeast undead town underground is it a good idea to accept and join the group or just kill him and others?

If your down there give him cheespuffs does he do anything for you?

I've kept sulik all the way thru, yes if your getting killed to easy then level up a bit or retreat..heal up and try again.

I never bovered with throwing,i upped my mele early on then my small guns,then large guns and so on, stealing is very handy indeed if your short of cash!!
Visit the interplay forum,join and read a few posts using the search facility, lots of advice should you need it.

The armour is done that way so that you can still see each individual character or you could all look the same, they still have the armour on.(except Marcus the sherrriff from broken hills who does not wair any!!) <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />

When you play the first time, if you use a game editor, you'll spoil the game completely!
