I swear. This is why I love D&D. Dice rolls. You never know what's going to happen because of a dice roll or two.
I've noted in this chapter at the end of it exactly how the dice changed my plans for the story. Quite an interesting development. Ah fate! You never know when it'll twist against you, or in your favor.
