My MC barely takes 2 steps an they are caked in dirt build up .
It is very distracting especially in cutscenes when everyone else is sparkly clean and MC looks like they didn't bathe in years.
An option for this feature to be turn off would be ideal for those who don't want the dirt build up on their characters.

I think it's been suggested before but it's very distracting indeed.
Being wounded and full of dirt is understandable after a ship crash or a big fight. Not after traveling 2 meters.

There are other threads asking for the same thing, but yes - this is a cosmetic effect, and it should be entirely in the player's hands whether they wish to see it or not, and how pervasive or pronounced it is, ideally. +1

It would be funny to have those settings be seperate for each character, so you could roleplay as Pigpen.

+1 once again. To this day I still haven't experienced Grymforge since I just can't force myself to play a character long enough before I quit out of pure distaste for my own character. And that is saying something as Grymforge came in the same patch as Sorcerer, my favourite class.

Seems a reasonable straightforward request. Funny thing is I don't remember there being much of a clamor to add dirt back in the day before it was a thing. I'm not sure anyone likes the current arrangement.

Some dev probably played Metal Gear Solid 5, where you come back covered in blood after each mission. Too bad they didn't added the included shower to go along laugh

I fully support the proposal with the addition of the ability to turn off dirt.
I also think it is necessary to add the blood of enemies to the mud.

Agreed. Who at Larian Studios thought that the players wanted realism to come in the form of filthy faces. We go thru all of the trouble to customize our pretty faces in the character creation. We love to see our pretty faces so much, that we have an option to turn helms on / off. But.... when we do turn off helms we are confronted with a bloody, grimy, filthy face. If we can turn off helms, certainly we should be able to turn off bloody dirty faces.

Maybe to add up to the suggestion, it would be great to be able to select when the mud/blood can be a possibilty. Rather than just getting dirty faces everytime you travel a bit, be able to select just after receiving damage in a fight for example. Or at least select the frequency and amount of dirt while travelling. Although i would be okey if they just tone it down a bit, as it also adds a bit of flavour.
