Patch 9 has appeared in Steamdb, 2 times now, first it disappeared, around 3 weeks ago, now it's there. We'll see. Maybe we'll have a PFH around mid november and a release of patch 9 between 20-30 november? Who knows.

The main thing is that the patch runs more reasonably than the last one, if it already takes longer to come... Hotfixing will be difficult especially during the upcoming vacation season...

Unfortunately, software versioning doesn't work like that. We are more likely to get 0.10 after 0.9.

Maybe. But if we have a patch towards let's stay 20 november, and i'm making this early on purpose, then the next patch would be 4 months afterwards. Will they also release something just before April? At the moment they will be working full force on releasing the game?

It is just a question of if the game is coming out in the first half of 2023 or the second half of 2023.

If it is scheduled for release in the first half of 2023 - this is the last patch we are getting.

It it is scheduled for the second half we will get one, maybe two more patches before the full release.

My long time guess has been first half of 2023. That being said only Larian knows the situation currently and we cannot see Act 2 or Act 3. I could be wrong about guess of release for the first half of 2023.

True, about the first and second half. During February they implied they had a year more of work, and they were talking about whether or not 2022 was possible. So yeah, i give more chances to the first half, maybe around April till June.

Considering they were already inviting players to playtest the remaining acts in july, I would also expect a first half release. I remember that during the last PFH, they said that they entered the refinement part of development.

I also think they are stalling the next patch to have an even period of time between the last patch and release, but this is wild speculation.

Where is this documented? I have never heard such things.

It was posted the 22th of july, so I would assume the play test sessions have already happened considering SteamDB had a lot of activity in the "playtesting" branch in the past weeks.

Sadly, ability to travel to one of their offices on your own dollar is a prerequisite for the offer, so folks who live in distant locations, or who have medical considerations that make long distance travel difficult, are more or less out of luck. Otherwise I'd have been right on it.
