I did write up a discussional piece to serve as potential information gathering for whenever the official Q&A happens...
But I cannot surmount the feeling that there is just no point.
The Q&A, when it happens - IF it happens... because it's been almost 2 years and they have never done anything of the sort so far, despite a long list of comments that they want to share information with us 'soon'... Will not address any of the major topics of concern in a meaningful way. It will be used, primarily, to pat Larian on the back and talk about all of the improvements they've made, in the areas they want to focus on. Just as every other piece of media they have released about the game has been used to do. If they talk about the UI or take questions about it expect them to talk about how great They think the chain party system is. I do not foresee any change in that pattern, at this point, two years in and 'almost feature complete' as they say they are.
There is simply no point.
I find it mind boggling, for example, that any dev team could approach a game like this, advertise as wanting to make it the "definitive example of 5e in a video game", and think for even a moment that they could get away with not having a proper reaction system in the game; that they could import the opportunist talent from D:0S2 and leave it at that, and only entertain the idea of doing more with it because of wide-scale player and community hammering for it, and now, going on two years still have nothing to show for it yet, and no comment they're even willing to make about it beyond another "information coming soon" deflection... a 'soon' that's been trotted out to us for almost two years now.
"Soon" isn't coming. It never was.
That is how I honestly feel about Larian's communication at this point; these are the feelings that their interactions, or lack there-of, over the EA has left me with. Please, do that That on board as feedback.
