Well I quite recently made my 2 charr so I could make him a "little" better than my old one... There is just 1 problem with "him" or rather his saved game... You see everytime I try to enter Verdistis with this charr... I can see the whole town (without done more then entering it...) Not a very big problem but now this: If I try to exit Verdistis (using the frontgate) and chose 1, YES my charr just stands there looking at the gate! So I can't exit Verdistis when I finaly get in there there is NO WAY OUT! If I try to got to the teleporter and exit that way there is another problem... it is suposed to be a little girl there who tells you about her cat you know... When a NPC walks up to you, you freeze.... and what if there NPC just fell asleep when you are freezed!?!?! And this just ani't once or twice but 10s of times! Is there anyway to save my charr as I have done quite much.... but the Verdistis area is locked... and as there is no way out my charrhas never ever really entered it (as i had to "load" him out)Can you reset Verdistis to 0 or something... or do I have to redo 10-15 hours of gaming...? Please help me if you can... and thanks for any sugestions...

Try deleting all of the files in the '..\Divine Divinity\Run\Dynamic' folder.
This folder is used as a cache for the game. Files are created / copied there from the save game folder when you load, and written / copied from that folder when you save a game. The files will be re-created as required the next time you start Divinity.

After that, re-load a game before you entered Verdistis. It appears files from your first save got carried over into your second (which would also mean the holy dagger, Finnigan's Lockpicks, etc. would be missing if you completed those quests in the first game).

Im having the same problem, seems like if you only have one savcd character it all works fine, but once you start making more, yoru hole game messes up. Sounds like a programing bug to me, they added *dynamic* folder, instead of just making it part of each save. I know stuff from saves are loaded into that folder, but now Ive spent hours apon hours of playing this game, just to start over.

Some people have played multiple games, even at the same time, without running into this problem. If the game needs to save any data to hard drive (as opposed to storing everything in RAM), then a dynamic folder is necessary. The bug with files being carried over into subsequent games does suck, though.
