Anyone know if the hag's hair is broken in the current patch/hotfix?

I remember getting it to work once in this patch, but in my current playthrough I can't seem to get the hair. It's not on the ground or in my inventory. Maybe it's not working after the most recent hotfix?

Is this just a bug with my current game or have others noticed the same issue?

Do you mean like a modded in hairstyle for charactercreation?

Yeah it works just fine now, I've just got it yesterday

Upd: did you check your party inventory? it appeared in Astarion's inventory in my playthrough for whatever reason

Most of the modding community hangs out on Discord, so if answers can't be found here in terms of troubleshooting, you might have better luck there 😸

They mean the reward from the "Save Mayrina" quest, in which the Hag quite literally tears off a piece of her scalp and offers it to the player as a reward, providing +1 increase to any attribute ^^

I think it's still bugged. You only get it for certain dialogue options with the Hag.

Yeah, I think it works in most situations, but not all right now. I have a save right before the hag offers the deal and don't get anything.

If you kill Mayrina before fighting the hag, the hair doesn't show up. You get a dialogue option that says something like, "I'll take the power, the more the better."

But if you go through the normal dialogue options with Mayrina still alive then the hair works. Took me a couple of playthroughs to figure it out.

For me the reward was given properly through both Deception or Intimidation.

For me, whenever I defeat her normally (tip: toggle on nonlethal attacks with your martials, then it is easy to get her to <20 HP without killing), I get the dialogue that she gives me the hair, including the cutscene of her ripping her hair out, but the hair never appears and I do not get the choice of which stat I want. Instead she just disappears.

I have tried this many, many times, and got this result consistently (party: Bard PC, Laezel, Wyll, Gale, no mods, Stadia)

However, the solution I have found is to ask for both Mayrina and the power. That dialogue branch is not bugged and you get the hair as normal.
You need a persuasion check of 20 for that, but with a bard and a couple inspiration points (always take the friends cantrip and/ or guidance from the necklace too!) it was easy.

I did this twice because I get a bug and had to use my last qucksave, which was quite a while back, and again I could not do it normally, and again, getting both the girl and the power worked

Yeah I hope this bug is fixed, I am sure there are future consequences based on your choices in act two. The game notes that the hag hair is booting your stat (in character sheet), I suspect it’s a curse that will be activated when you meet the other hag…. Hope so anyway

I don't think the hair will be cursed, since you already paid a high price to get it (very difficult battle (before you realize you can cheese it with magic missile and hex/ witch bolt), and you can not just kill her, but must be very careful to leave her at low health, extending the battle and exposing yourself to more damage), but I believe that the mark of the absolute will have such a function.

Right now, the absolutes warboard is probably the strongest item in the game, and the gloves of power are also very ... powerful. And you get the mark for free without any struggle.

When we fight the absolute/ other cultists in moonrise towers, I suspect the cultists will be able to debuff us with bane instead if we have the mark, or maybe dominate us sometimes (with a saving throw each turn) like Ethel with the whispering mask
