It's very interesting to see all the comments about how D/N cycle doesn't matter that much. LOL. Nice to see BG3 and Larian fans are all about lowering the bar and excusing Larian's many, many shortcomings which you all so obviously would never ever do for any other game or developer. I predicted this is how BG3/Larian fans will hand-wave away the game's weaknesses, by simply saying those things "don't really matter."
No. They all do matter. Very much.
I think BG3 has weaknesses and so does Larian.
1. I think the plot at the beginning of the game is very similar to DOS2 - which is uninspiring. 2. I think the game starts out like a high budget Michael Bay film rather than what I would typically want out of an RPG in this setting. 3. I think the reaction system is lacking/needs work. 4. I think the party movement system needs work.
I could go on.
But I personally don't care about D/N cycle because I don't care about D/N cycle.
It might matter "very much" to you - but I could care less about it regardless of who the developer is.
