actually killing her is very important for SH. the ritual of becoming dark justiciar requires the Nightsong. because she's immortal. as long as her heart stays intact, she will resurrect herself from death anew. she's imprisoned in that ancient Sharran temple. faithful Sharran came to kill her and join the dark justiciar rank. the number of dark justiciars is how many times she had been killed. as for SH, if she completes the ritual of killing the Nightsong, she would be the new dark justiciar in a century and potentially Shar's new chosen, since the last Shar's chosen and dark justiciar leader had died and become Absolute's chosen after being resurrected. the spear we see SH carries in splash art and MTG card is the ritual spear of killing Nightsong
