They should also add sheaths for weapons. So weird seeing my dual short-swords hanging on my back like they do. If I fell over backwards, I'd double stab myself
There is this guy on Youtube who tried to make a proper sheaths to carry his sword on his back. There are some advantages to this (which would require a special custom made scabbard/sheath) but even him admits that there are some risks when carrying weapons that way (it's not as safe indeed, and not necessary historically accurate) :
