As native, raised in Poland, the small bug in translation, but extremely annoying, really started to bother the heck out of me, when I have started new playthrough few days ago, that I would like to report.
So the problem is that apparently '
save (throw)' / '
saved' has been translated as '
zapis' / '
zapisano', which would be correct in different context but not in here, you see 'zapis' means something written down or like process of file saving, but not being safe, or being saved from something.
At first I did not know what the hell game is trying to tell me, like the autosave? Or journal for the specific person has been saved, perhaps? - This clearly indicates this is actually major issue as it does not convey the meaning and actually confuses rather than helps with anything, on top of it's constantly popping up, especially in the beginning where everything is burning.
As another example in BG1, the translation of saving throw has been done something along these lines, more or less: 'saving throw vs (i.e.) spells' => 'rzut obronny przeciw czarom' (key word here is 'obrona'(noun)/'obronny' (adj).
The obvious root cause that comes to my mind would be the translation has been performed without context.
