I can not play the game anymore (Stadia), so I can not test it myself, and the wiki is not really getting updated tbh, so I was curious, maybe one of you can help: I read in the patch notes, that there are a lot of new abilities presumably relating to Beast Masters.
Bear Honeyed Paws
Boar Rage
Boar Frenzied Strike
Raven Bad Omen
Giant Spider Entomb
What do they do, at what level do we get them, and how strong are they?
Ranger pets are now more powerful than a level 5 moon druid lol.
Still a huge fan of how the wildshape with the best damage, deep rothe (3d4+4), isn't even a moon druid exclusive. Bear wildshape is honestly a joke, imo. Can do more melee damage with shillelagh and dipping in fire.

Moon druid is in need of help.
Bear form is a dmg sponge, can soak up the most beating, but damage is really weak indeed.

Gotta disagree with you. If for some reason bear form is supposed to be a tank form, I gotta say, 30 hp + 12 AC are terrible tank stats. It suffices at level 2 against goblins, but not much past that.
Bear form is just a 30 hp meat shield at most. Can do more melee damage outside of bear form with just shillelagh + dip.

I think it is kind of a fundamental problem with 5e druids, they should have given the animals different abilities etc, but made them scale like the Summon Beast spell from tashas for example, instead of just unlocking new forms. Because that necessarily makes the old ones useless after a while, and gives a lot less diversity of USEFULL forms than it seems at first.
Especially because beasts become more and more rare at higher challenge ratings.
I think it would be cool if animals (like the bear) who are supposed to have multiattack, but don't, because that might be too strong for low levels, got it at lv 5.
Or maybe even the versions of the moon druid get their multiattack at that level

You are disagreeing with something I never said. I didn't say the bear form is a tank ability. It is 30 HP meat shield on a bonus action. Can as well cast a spell with your action and then shift into the bear form, threatening your foes in melee.

"Damage sponge" sounds like you meant it can tank. It's also not threatening anyone in melee because it simply has no damage output. Using shillelagh + dip (standard strategy) with 18 wisdom is (1d8+4)+1d4, 6-16 damage vs the 2d4+4, 6-12 damage of bear form.
The only use bear wildshape has is to eat a hit or 2 at most. You're not able to actually output any respectable damage or tear up the front lines. And this is the problem. I should be wildshaping into bear in order to fight in melee competently, instead I fight in melee worse than my caster form. Wildshapes should be about more than just the extra health.
Moon Druid is awful. It has no advantages over Land.
And Land is getting some liberties because some of the actual spells in the Circle are not available, so they're even stronger. It feels bad to use Wild Shape in the game and it's definitely not making anyone stronger or even comparable with a Land Druid.
So weird Halsin's bear form is not available for the player when it clearly exists. Why couldn't Druid customs have special dialogue with him where he teaches you how to Wild Shape or you get some kind of improvement, much like Alfira for Performance.
