As we know all weapon attacks have saving throws that need to be checked before they work.

Problem is the game still doesn't define what abilities those use. Right now it's set as a spell and it uses spellcasting abilities only, meaning class that have none like fighters get no bonus to those DC checks. My suggestion would be that those weapon attacks should use Con so all classes can get the same.

Or they need to be set for all class the same be it Spellcasting stat or dex/str whatever is highest.

Edit:
And i forgot, give Topple damage to bring it in-line with other weapon attacks.

As a side note dual wielding should give us access to off hand weapon attacks would help to bridge the gap to two handed weapons and shields.

Using Strength or Dexterity, depending on the weapon, might work better. Do you think this would be too powerful, or diminish the coolness of the Battlemaster maneuvers?

well i'm not totally sure that's why i made multiple suggestion and hoped more people would weld in.

As Str/dex there are a few things i'm not a fan off, people can just use Str potions - items and casters get left behind as well.

Some of those attacks do sound like more of smarts int/wisdom attacks. As in know where and how to hit instead of just use pure power or speed. That's why i suggested Con as stat that everyone can use and could represent the whole body and i think it would lead to less power then just going str/dex way.

Edit: But again i'm not sure... What i do know for sure is that the current way of how it's done is not good. smile
