UPDATE : see suggestion made here : https://forums.larian.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=837427&#Post837427

Context:
The spell slots of the warlock class, as most of you might know, function in a very particular manner.
Once a warlock unlocks spell slots of a higher level, all their spell slots are now of that same level.
Example : two 2nd spell slots level for a Level 4 Warlock becomes two 3st spell slots level for a Level 5 Warlock.

Question:
What happens for cantrips and spells that allows the warlock to pick multiple targets if they want to?
Example : Eldritch blast, Invisible or Hold Person.

RAW, the player does have the choice.

Quote
Invisibility
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, you can target one additional creature for each slot level above 2nd.

Hold Person
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, you can target one additional humanoid for each slot level above 2nd. The humanoids must be within 30 feet of each other when you target them.

Concern:
Will I be forced to pick two target when casting Invisible/Hold Person when I'm at level 5 because I only have 3rd spell slots level?

I haven't played with the Warlock class much, and I'm a bit burnout when it comes to playing currently (especially if it is to go and reach level 5 😅).

Could someone shed some light on this, please 🙂? How does the game handle this?
