In the very beginning when you have it into the nautiloid after you first meet Astarion, the three Fisher people were not there. I'm assuming this is a glitch.

It's in the patch note (so by design). They were removed for unspecified reason. Some have theorized it's because of the paladin/oathbreaker class.

That sucks. I miss them now. Something is very much missing with that whole area now.

Yes Larian removed a few things but gave NO reason why. They can do whatever they want and don't have to give us any reason because they are the boss and reasons DON'T matter. So poop on us right? It's not like we matter. We deserve no reasons apparently. Enjoy

they are clearly part of some sidequest we can't do with their number 9 and white one clues... i assume they will be put back in latter assuming Larian doesn't forget

All of your posts sound like they've pooped in your plate personally, tbh.

Honestly, it made no sense for them to be there. I'd rather fight one or both of those Cambions from the ship there.

They'd have to be weakened and injured from the crash, of course but it would make more sense.

Why do you say that? Okay, the timeline is a bit compressed but I think the implication is that you’ve been unconscious for a while after the crash so as long as they weren’t too far away they could have got there in time. Is there some other reason why a mindflayer couldn’t mentally compel nearby individuals to help it? Is your objection that their charm abilities don’t have long enough reach?

That’s a good thought! It might be fun if Zhalk and the cambions were there injured if you’d not killed them, or as dead bodies if you had, along with bodies of the hell beasts and imps that I don’t think are there. Unless they somehow get left in Avernus, but not sure why they would.

Haha proposition about Zhalk & Co to penetrate the material plane deserves a separate thread laugh

But I guess they could just use plane shift to move back to the hells...

I'd just be satisfied it they either prevent the illithid from dying in the first place, on the ship, or acknowledge if he does - it makes so little sense for him to die on the ship (he usually does, unless you sprint straight for the transponder), and then be there in the cutscene, and there afterwards, and all the rest.

The fact that Larian have put rewards in place that are contingent (more or less) on him dying, but the game still doesn't acknowledge that he does is... ridiculous.

True. When he dies on the ship I’ve been handwaving his reappearance as him being knocked unconscious by the cambions but saving against death and then coming round, but it would be far better if Larian just made sure the sequence of events worked!

Aww, if you have thoughts on this I’d love to hear them! I was wondering about the fact we don't see any imps, etc around the crash and whether that means there's something keeping them, dead or alive, in Avernus even if they're on the nautiloid when it goes through the gateway. Karlach managed to use the nautiloid to escape the hells, but she's originally from the material plane and is mainly non-infernal, so might be different.
