The current way to pick colors is incredibly cluttered and messy, not to mention extremely limited and outdated, as not even the 1990s had such an unintuitive color system.

There is no need to have 50 shades of gray boxes, such as;

  • Neutral Tone 01
  • Neutral Tone 02
  • Neutral Tone 03
  • Neutral Tone 04
  • Neutral Tone 05
  • Neutral Tone 06
  • Neutral Tone 07
  • Neutral Tone 08
  • Neutral Tone 09
  • Neutral Tone 10
  • Neutral Tone 11
  • Neutral Tone 12

The color customization instead can be made so much simpler and look cleaner, while being more advanced than what is currently in the game. Instead of having color boxes for each shade of a color, it would be a lot better to simply have the base version of each color and a color intensity slider, so the user can choose themselves how intense the color should look.

Because ever since Patch 8 nuked realistic colors in the game and turned dark colors into a clown fiesta, we are stuck with overly intense and vibrant colors with no way to get realistic looking dark colors any longer, using a system that is terribly limited, cluttered and messy.

So here's an example of how simple, yet advanced the system can get;

Not only has the visual clutter been severely reduced, but the system now actually offers drastically more options than it ever did before. So instead of 50 shades of gray boxes, we have just the base colors and a slider to make them lighter or darker;

  • Earth Tone
  • Gold Tone
  • Ochre Tone
  • Olive Tone
  • Sage Tone
  • Neutral Tone
  • Cool Tone
  • Warm Tone
  • Blush Tone
  • Pallid Tone

And here's the final look. Same for eyes and hair.
