Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - General Does anyone else think of all the God choices Vlaakith is one?

Of all the popular God choices in the Forgotten Realms, does anyone else find it weird that Vlaakith is one, given that she's not actually a part of the Forgotten Realms Pantheon or like even a God at all, she's a Lich Queen?

I get it's because of the inclusion of the Githyanki in the game, but lore wise it's weird because she not a God, or unless I missed her Apothesis somewhere.

she's trying to be a god and force githyanki to worship her as one. so make sense that githyanki cleric has the option.

It actually makes sense as the only githyanki option

The deity selection is weird anyway. No Torm? He kinda is a big deal. Or Chauntea or Silvanus for a more nature/druidic vibe. Mask for thieves or Cyric for psychos?

Needs the full deity list introduced even if there are no meaningful dialogue options present. Really hoping for the entire drow Pantheon, Asmodeus and the Raven Queen.

Agreed, although the Raven Queen isn't a deity in FR, but then again neither is Vlaakith so I guess maybe.

Very unlikely considering how thoroughly 4E got rolled back and purged.
