An Update since I had the same issue with Warframe.
Warframe will Not allow me to set to Administator and actually run/play, so I used the rest of the debugging instructions listed.
I switched to Compatibility Mode for Windows 8.
I Disabled Fullscreen Optimization.
I used the "Change High DPI Settings" button to access and switch "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" on and then chose Application (which is the default setting it seems when using this option in Windows 11).
Doing Those things kept all sound in headset for BG3 And Warframe.
So Switching to Administrator *may not be needed. Just fyi.
