I hear what you're saying, I initially thought the same thing about Wyll but changed my view when I played with him more. I actually think trickery cleric is great because the buffs help her be a better rogue and give you incredible flexibility. Pass without trace is broken, and let's your whole party have fun, sneaky, stealth options, and blessing of the trickster is situationally good. I definitely like Lae'Zel, though it is worth mentioning that between her and the wizards some many party members don't have darkvision, which I find to be super annoying. I think this is good because it shows that they've made dark vision relevant. At least Wyll can get it with Devil Sight, something that I usually do.
